As parents and caregivers we are constantly worrying about all of the aspects of our children's lives and especially about child safety. Whether we are away all day at work or home to greet them when they arrive, each child should know about the threat of abduction and what they can do to keep away from potential kidnappers.

Knowledge is power

The key to elementary school safety for our children in that age group is preparedness. Of course it is not a very comforting thought to know that there are people out there who have made it their primary goal to hurt children, but they do exist whether we talk about them or not. S, we owe it to our elementary aged children to inform them about the possible risks to their elementary school safety. We do not want to scare them into such a fright that they no longer wish to go outside, but we do want them to be aware of the danger.
