Fire kills an average of 5500 Americans each year and injures another 300,00. This is a huge amount of people and those numbers are enough to scare anyone. The fire consumes the oxygen in the air and therefore increasing the amounts of carbon monoxide, which results in a loss of consciousness or death within a few short minutes.
