Child Safety Product
A Child Safety Product can Save the Day
To use, our homes seem safe, but when there is a new baby in the picture the whole place needs to be re-evaluated. Once you start looking around you'll probably see a need for a child safety product in every little space. But the truth is you can get by on only a small fraction of all the child safety products available today. Here at Five Star Safety we have put together a list of some of the most important child safety products.
Keep Drawers and Cabinets Shut
A new baby will be up and about before you know it, so now is the time to get child safety products in place that keep drawers and cabinets shut. Safety latches are very important for two reasons in particular. First, you don't want baby getting his hands on anything that can hurt him. Second, babies have a tendency to slam their own little fingers in just about anything. But you can find more than one variety of child safety product that can prevent these kinds of accidents. The more common type is shaped like a hook, which makes it impossible to open without adult strength. The problem with this safety product is that they still allow the door or drawer to be opened a tiny bit and so the child still runs of the risk of slamming his little fingers. The other type is magnetic and allows the door to be securely shut. It can then only be opened with a key- just don't loose the key!
As parents and caregivers, we cannot possibly move all things away from a child that presents a potential risk. That's why these child safety products are essential. You simply make it impossible for the child to gain access to the things that he should not play with or explore. Give your own home some thought and see if there's a child safety product or two (or three, or four) you need to ensure child safety in your home.
Safety glasses are always important to keep around.
